How biologics manufacturing has created a packaging evolution
The expansion of biologics manufacturing across APAC is also having a fundamental impact on packaging requirements. Advanced therapies need sterile primary packaging formats including vials, prefilled syringes and cartridges, along with specialised materials like elastomers and high-barrier polymers.
Maintaining product stability throughout the supply chain requires cryogenic labelling, temperature monitoring technologies, specialised insulation systems and validated transportation networks, creating opportunities for packaging suppliers to integrate cold-chain solutions into their logistics.
